Google Pixel 6a specifications

The Pixel 6a has been listed on benchmarking website Geekbench, which means that an announcement could be around the corner. A recent report had suggested that the phone will be launched by the end of Q1 2022. Now, let’s take a look at the Geekbench listing.

As per the listing, the Google Pixel 6a will feature the Tensor chipset that the company has developed in-house. The processor features four performance cores and four efficiency cores. It’s coupled with the Mali-G78 GPU and, according to the listing, 6GB RAM. Although the chipset is the same as what’s found on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, Google has reduced the RAM on the 6a — the Pixel 6 comes with 8GB RAM, whereas the 6 Pro offers 12GB RAM. The Geekbench listing also revealed that the phone will run Android 12 out of the box, which is the latest stable Android release.

Previous rumours and reports have suggested that the mid-range Google Pixel 6a will feature a dual-rear camera setup. However, unlike the upgraded and new sensors found on the Pixel 6, the Pixel 6a will use the older 12-megapixel sensors from the Pixel 5 lineup. It is also expected to get a flat 6.2-inch FHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate and an 8-megapixel front camera.
